In lieu of a single regional conference this summer, Region 3 is sponsoring three summer "mini-conferences." What exactly is a mini-conference? Think of it as all of the things you expect from a regional conference (worship, hymn festivals, reading sessions, workshops, fellowship time with colleagues) but in a shorter time-frame and for a lower cost!
View the Region 3 conference brochure.
Online registration for the mini-conferences is now closed. You may register on-site at either conference.
Featured presenter/clinician: David Cherwien
Join us at the beautiful Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls for the second summer Mini-Conference. The primary clinician for the weekend will be Dr. David Cherwien, nationally-known organist and composer who serves as cantor at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and music director of the National Lutheran Choir. A festival of hymns and workshops related to organ, choirs, and handbell choirs will round out the experience. The third and final Mini-Conference will take place in the Quad Cities at the marvelous facilities of St. Paul Lutheran Church. The new sanctuary with its 47-rank Bigelow organ and unique liturgical furnishings (crafted by local artisans) will shape a time of worship and musical renewal for participants. The conference begins with a hymn festival on Sunday evening and ends at noon on Tuesday. A Mississippi riverboat dinner cruise is planned for Monday night. Here's what one member said about the dinner cruise: "The Quad-Cities never looks better than from the river on a summer night! One more plus is that the river runs east to west on the pool that we will be on and the sunsets are gorgeous."
