What to see and do in Portland . . .
The city of Portland, a robust cultural center marked by diverse musical traditions, is an ideal setting to consider the practice of doing the central things uncommonly well. The flowing waters of the Willamette and Columbia rivers flow around the city. Rich grain fields lie to the east and countless vineyards mark the southern suburbs. Here it is easy to sing, “Let the vineyards be fruitful, Lord, and fill to the brim our cup of blessing.” The deep green forests, majestic Cascade mountains, and the beaches of the Pacific coast offer rest before and after the conference for those who might wish to spend a few days of vacation.
If you’re not leaving Portland until Thursday evening or Friday, why not add the Thursday afternoon wine tasting tour to your registration – enjoy!
