Program

This workshop is intended for worship planners and part-time church musicians, which includes keyboardists/organists, choir directors, worship planners, directors of music, pastors/lay pastoral associates/deacons, etc. Materials will cover worship planning, whether in settings whose practice is liturgical or non-liturgical. We will sing music for small ensembles/choirs and solos, and we will share ideas and examples that can be used to reflect church seasons and worship/sermon themes.

Schedule

Registration: 9:30 – 10:00 am
Session one: 10:00 am – 12:00 noon
Lunch will be provided.
Session two: 1:00 – 3:30 pm

Presenter

Rev. Julie Long is a second-career pastor, having first served as a part-time church musician in several denominations over a span of forty years. For the last twenty years, she has led worship and music workshops and had primary responsibility for synod worship events. She currently serves as pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Broadus, Montana.
