Organizers in Washington and Minnesota express regret that ongoing waves of Covid activity have prevented the development of a strong foundation for a successful tour. As a result, the National Lutheran Choir’s performances in Seattle and Tacoma of The Earth Sings Beauty, scheduled for April of 2022, will be replaced with a livestream and simultaneous live radio broadcast of the concert from the Twin Cities on May 1st.
The Earth Sings Beauty concert will feature the world premiere of Lament of Earth by composer Steven Heitzeg and poet Susan Palo Cherwien. While the concert will take place in Minnesota, the music will be available to everyone, everywhere via the livestream and radio broadcast.
The livestream will begin on Sunday May 1st at 4:00 p.m. CT and can be watched at www.NLCA.com. We hope to see you either in person in Minnesota or online for the stream during the premiere!
