Building Beautiful Voices – In this workshop participants will work with Paul Nesheim to learn about using vocal warmups to teach vocal technique.

Presenters

Dr. Paul Nesheim is Choral Director and Professor of Music at Augustana University where he conducts the Augustana Choir and Chamber Choir, and teaches courses in choral conducting, choral methods, voice, and church music. He also serves as the director of the Adult Choir and Women’s Choir at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

Dr. Christopher Larson is an Instructor in Theatre at the University of South Dakota where he teaches voice lessons, coaches musical theatre students, and directs musicals. He is also the Principal Organist at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education and Master’s degrees in Choral Conducting and Collaborative Piano from the University of South Dakota.

Cathy Moklebust has developed and directed handbell music programs since 1983, and has played bells since childhood. With her dynamic, positive approach and skilled conducting, she is in national demand as a handbell clinician and festival conductor. As one of today’s most popular handbell music composers, she has written over 450 compositions and arrangements, many of them reaching bestseller status.
