Director of Worship

The Director of Worship will lead and design  meaningful worship experiences, shepherds the heart of the congregation through music and the arts and enhances the shared life of the congregation through technology and multimedia.

Essential Functions

·         Craft and plan worship for every Sunday assembly including funerals.

·         Partner with the Board of Worship to set goals and direct the worship activities of the church.

·         Direct the recruitment and training of musicians, other worship leaders, and techs.

·         Oversee all musical ensembles and their directors.

·         Manage audio, video, and lighting for worship, live streaming, and related social media.

Minimum Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree or certificate in music, worship, or liturgics.

·         Work cooperatively with a variety of people and age groups.

·         At least 5 years of church worship leadership experience (preferably in a Lutheran context with a background in the liturgical calendar).

·         Proficient in certain software packages (Microsoft Office, Easy Worship, etc.)

·         Reading, writing, oral communications

Salary/Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with experience and will be discussed later in the interview process. Benefits include PTO and professional expense allowances.
