Dedication Recital & Hymn Festival

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, will have a Dedication Recital & Hymn Festival for its newly refurbished pipe organ on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 3:00pm. The event will celebrate the refurbishment of St. Peter’s Schantz pipe organ by the Buzard organ company, as well as give thanks to God for the gift of music and singing. For the recital portion, St. Peter’s Director of Music & Organist, Tim Degen, will perform works by J.S. Bach, Cesar Franck, Felix Mendelssohn, and Louis Vierne. For the hymn festival portion, St. Peter’s Adult, Brass, and Children’s choirs will come together to lead the congregation in singing festive arrangements of some great hymns of faith. Hymn arrangements by Carolyn Jennings, Robert Hobby, Michael Costello, and Kenneth Kosche will be featured. A reception will follow the recital and hymn festival.
