Culture Matters: Seeing Worship Through Another’s Eyes

Head to sunny Paradise Valley, Arizona this February for a workshop exploring music from a variety of cultures. Using current worship resources, we will discuss cultural practices, theological ideas embedded in poetry and songs, and performance practice as we learn and sing church music from around the world. The day will include worship, presentations, communal singing, and discussion.

Kate Adelman is Pastor and Development Director of the Navajo Lutheran Mission Center for Development, Rock Point, AZ.

Lorraine Brugh is Senior Research Professor at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, IN

Both Kate and Lorraine are past presidents of ALCM.
