Dr. William E. Musselman, CAGO, DMA, retired from Trinity Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Kalamazoo, MI after 50 years as organist/director of music. An endowment fund was named in his honor to perpetuate the music program at Trinity. Bill graduated from Kalamazoo College, master’s degree from western Michigan University and DMA from the American Conservatory of Music. Bill played for a classmate’s wedding in 1971 and was hired the next wee and began his 50-year tenure at Trinity. During his service a new Casavant organ was installed in 1973 and it was enlarged and rebuilt in 2001 by Berghaus Organ Company. He has been succeeded by Nathan Mattson, but will continue playing once a month.
