Dr. John Eggert, organ, music theory, and composition professor at Concordia University, St. Paul from 1978-2011, passed away on August 16, 2022 while in hospice care in St. Paul. John also served as Concordia’s chapel choir director and chapel music coordinator in the 1980’s. He was a widely published composer and recitalist. A remembrance service will be held on the Concordia University campus at the Graebner Memorial Chapel (1259 Carroll Avenue, St. Paul, 55014) at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 24.
