Marie Schroeder, mother of ALCM’s copy editor Anne-Marie Schroeder Bogdan, died March 29, 2022. Anne-Marie’s brother Nathan writes: “Cathy Lessmann [of Crossings] and Brenda Light [from Bethel church] were singing hymns as she passed; and the Mass in B Minor had been playing on a continuous repeat for the last day or so. She was very much at peace, and ready (if not positively eager) to go.”
Nathan also wrote this on a Facebook post on the Schroeder reunion page: “The librarian’s book is finished. Marie Schroeder, my mom, librarian, Fulbright scholar, theologian, world traveler, chorus soprano, artist, wife, mother, etc., died peacefully today (March 29, 2022).”
