Bach Cantata Vespers @ St. James Lutheran Church

The Bach Cantata Vespers Choir and Orchestra present J. S. Bach’s joyful Cantata 30 Freue dich, erlöste Schar and J. C. F. Bach’s motet Wachet auf on the second Sunday of Advent, under the direction of St. James Lutheran’s new director of music, Joseph Z. Pettit. The performance is rounded out with a stellar roster of Northwest soloists: Julie Kangas, soprano; Kathryn Weld, mezzo; Steven Arends, tenor; Barry Johnson, Scott Swope, baritones.
