Hymn Festival Samples & Resources
The samples below include both ALCM-sponsored and other member-sponsored hymn festivals.
In 2011, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, ALCM prepared materials that were used by members and others around the country. The materials created for this 25th anniversary hymn festival are not time sensitive and are available to be used at any time.
In 2012 ALCM member Don Armitage partnered with Susan Palo Cherwien to create a hymn festival celebrating the 2012 Luther Decade theme ‘Music and the Reformation.‘ In collaboration with the ELCA offices of Worship and Global Mission, this hymn festival explores the hymnody inspired by Luther and the continued global voice of song that continues the reforming and transforming work Luther began.
